Akhteruzzaman Shohag, 34, and Alam alias Khokan, 51, were sentenced to death by a District and Sessions Court for murder. According to the prosecution, they picked up a man named as Torikul, a member of Kutubpur union, and shot him dead on August 6, 1996.
