An opinion Poll of MPs' views on the death penalty conducted jointly by the Movement for People's Rights and Parliament on 94 out of 128 MPs found that 90 percent oppose the death penalty, 39 percent support the immediate cancellation of the death sentence, 36 percent support its eradication gradually and in stages, 39 percent are in favour of freezing death sentences and 34 percent are against freezing death sentences.
