Badie Hamadeh was sentenced to death for shooting dead three security officers

1 MIN READ
Badie Hamadeh was sentenced to death for shooting dead three security officers. He had been the subject of a four-day manhunt in Lebanon's largest Palestinian refugee camp, where he fled before Palestinian groups controlling the Ain el-Hilweh camp helped broker his arrest. He told a Lebanese military court that on the day of the shootout, he had gone to his fiancee Souheir Saeed's house, and was waiting for her when the security officers arrived to arrest him. He said he had sneaked into the house, hid in Saeed's room with a pistol and shot the security officers following a struggle when they found him during a search.
