BANGLADESH: 4 TO DIE FOR DOUBLE MURDER IN MYMENSINGH

A court in Mymensingh on 20 March 2019 sentenced four people to death for killing two siblings in Tarakanda upazila in 2001.
The condemned convicted are—Liakat Ali, 55, Abul Kashem, 50, Enayer Hossain, 35 and Hossain Ali, 62, residents of Kodaldhar village.
The court also fined them Tk 20,000 each.
Besides, the court sentenced three other convicts to different terms of jail.
According to the prosecution, Abdur Rashid and Gias Uddin, sons of late Hafiz Uddin, were hacked to death in a clash over land on August 4, 2001.
