Those sentenced to death were Sheikh Akram Hossain, Kamrul Islam, Jamil Sheikh, Nur-a-Ajam, Minhaz Sardar, Ahad Zan, Shaheed Golder and Motiar Rahman.
According to the prosecution Habib was gunned down by the convicts in Ninekhali on April 3, 1999.
