BANGLADESH. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

Imran Ali was condemned to death by a court in Thakurgaon, Bangladesh, for killing a man in 2004. According to the prosecution, Ali, 28, of Padampur village in Ranishangkoil, strangled to death his nephew Saddam Hossain on July 24, 2004, for harassing his father-in-law. Six other accused in the case were acquitted as the allegations brought against them could not be proved.
