Jalaluddin, 28, of Amtali , was condemned to death by a court in Pirojpur, for killing his newlywed wife. According to the prosecution, Jalaluddin married Merry Akhter in July 2003 and he later refused to take Merry to his house. Jalaluddin then went to his father-in-law's house on September 20, 2003 and slaughtered his wife. No further details regarding the case were reported.
