BANGLADESH. THREE PEOPLE SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

Muhibur Rahman, Billal Ahmed and Abdul Latif were sentenced to death by a court in Sylhet, Bangladesh, for killing a day-labourer in the Jaintapur district. According to the prosecution, day-labourer Momtazuddin was stabbed to death by the three at Shyampur village on February 21, 2003 following rivalries over local elections.
