Bose Prefectural Intermediate People's Court held a public rally to sentence to death the three "triad" leaders Ding Xu, Lu Zhongling and Huang Jie.
From 1991 to 1994, Ding Xu, reportedly colluded with Lu Zhongling and Huang Jie to rob banks and casinos in Macao. They offered several tens of thousands of yuan in bribes to police. They reportedly killed two and wounded dozens of people. They were executed on the same day.
In connection to this, former Deputy Director of Bose City Public Security Bureau Huang Zhengxian and Bureau Political Commissar Ma Sike, both of whom had connived with and shielded the above criminal ring leaders, were sentenced to death.
