Benson Keganne had his death sentences commuted by Justices Moore, Ramodibedi and Howie of the Botswanan Court of Appeal to 18 years in jail, backdated to the first day of his incarceration.

Benson Keganne had his death sentences commuted by Justices Moore, Ramodibedi and Howie of the Botswanan Court of Appeal to 18 years in jail, backdated to the first day of his incarceration. Lobatse High Court judge David Newman convicted him in 2001 of the murder of Gloria Mahowe. In a separate case, Raymond Leshomo and Arnold Masango had their death sentences commuted to 20 years imprisonment from the first day of incarceration by Judges Moore, Howie and Tafa. The Francistown High Court sentenced them to death for murdering their colleague Mario Lottering in 2006.
