CHINA. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER

the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's Court sentenced Qiao Ruqian, 36, to death for robbery and murder. Qiao reportedly tricked his way into a recycling station in the Jiading District on Christmas Day 2005 and killed three people, including an 11-year-old boy, before cleaning out the safe. He made off with 23,000 yuan (US$ 2,875) in cash.
