Cook County judge Edwin Gausselin sentenced 40-year-old Henry Watson to die for the murder of his estranged wife, Sylvia Watson Jones, 38, on Nov. 26, 1999. A formal sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 22, when an execution date is to be set, even though Illinois has a moratorium on the death penalty.
