FALUN GONG IN THE STREETS OF ROME TO DENOUNCE PERSECUTION IN CHINA

Falun Gong, a spiritual, apolitical movement which has become the symbol of resistance to the rampant disregard of human rights in China will continue their SOS campaign in the Italian capital.
On Tuesday, September 25, 2001, Falun Gong practitioners will be in seven main Roman squares to demonstrate the physical exercises aimed towards the spiritual and physical well-being of the individual. A presentation of the moral values which make up the basis of the practice – truth, compassion and forbearance – will be held at the Radical Party HQ at 18.30.

9. 00 – 13.00:
Piazza Montecitorio: gathering of signatures for a motion on the Falun Gong to be presented to the Italian parliament.

10.30:
Falun Gong exercises practiced in seven Roman squares: P.za Montecitorio; P.za S. Giovanni; P.za della Repubblica; atrium Stazione Termini; P.za Vittorio; P.za Campo dei Fiori; Pantheon.
12.30:
Press Conference at Piazza Montecitorio.
