Following an execution order issued by the Higher People's Court of Beijing City, the First Intermediate People's Court of Beijing City executed four men for robbery and forcing women into prostitution.
Wei Dongli, a peasant in Beijing's Yanqing county, and other people committed a total of 11 robberies on female taxi-drivers between August and September 2000. They hired female taxi drivers in Zhushikou, Xuanwu District, and in Xinjiekou, Xicheng District. After hiring their taxi, they forced these female taxi drivers to Chaoyang and Changping Districts. Threatening to kill them with a knife, Wei Dongli robbed them of money and articles, with a total value of 9,800 yuan.
Mia Changshun organized prostitution with the help from other people during a period from October 1999 to March 2000. He forced two teenagers and many women into prostitution at Jinbao Restaurant in Shijingshan District, Beijing City. He also raped a woman by the family name of Hu before forcing her to engage in prostitution, and ordered other people to beat Hu and many other women, causing injuries.
The two other criminals who were executed at the same time were Ma Yunjie, who committed robbery, and Li Guizhong, who committed intentional injury.
