Glen McGinnis, 27, black was put to death by lethal injection. McGinnis had been convicted of a crime he had committed when 17 years of age. He had killed Leta Ann Wilkerson, 30, white, during a bank robbery on 1st August 1990. He was the sixth person to be executed in the State during the year, No 205 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 11th to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 609 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
