Guo Chunhu, 25, and Guo Chunbao, 23, two brothers convicted of producing fraudulent value added tax invoices were sentenced to death with two years' suspension by the No 1 Intermediate People's Court of Beijing. It was alleged that the two, from Chaoyang city in south China's Guangdong province, produced a total of 1,200 fraudulent value-added tax invoices worth over 18m yuan during the period from May, 2000 to February 2001.
