Hands Off Cain and Nexta.com launched the first online campaign for the collection of signatures over the Internet to the UN in favour of a moratorium on capital executions. The first human rights event promoted by a 'new economy' group and by well-known names from Italian cinema, art, sport, fashion, music and culture. As well as the participation of Piero Muscarà, president of Nexta and Sergio D'Elia, Secretary of Hands Off Cain, there were Zeudi Araya (actress), Dario Argento (film director), Andrea Gardini (volleyball player), Flaminio Maphia (singer), Franky Hi-nrg (rapper), Giuliano Montaldo (film director), Giampiero Muggini (journalist), Andrea Niccolai (volleyball champion), Damiano Tommasi (football player), Sandro Veronesi (writer), Valentina Chico (actress).
