Farooq Pawle was sentenced to death by Special TADA judge P D Kode for planting vehicle bombs near the Air India building and Sena Bhavan during the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, India. Pawle is the 11th convict to be awarded capital punishment for the bombings. He was awarded the death sentence on five counts which included conspiracy, commission of a terrorist and murder. The bombing at the Shiv Sena party headquarters in central Mumbai killed four people and injured 38, the Air India bombing in south Mumbai killed 20 and injured 87.
