Tajendra Khann, Delhi Lieutenant Governor sent back the file on Afzal Guru’s mercy petition after receiving the 16th reminder from Union Ministry for seeking opinion on the matter. Guru was sentenced for waging war against the India, conspiracy to attack Parliament on December 13, 2001 and murder.
