the Indian Supreme Court reduced the death sentence of a murder convict to life imprisonment. Santosh Kumar Bariyar was accused of murdering his friend and disposing of the body by severing the head and limbs, placing it in a sack and dumping it at an isolated location. He was sentenced to death by the trial court and the Bombay High Court. However the apex Bench of Justices SB Sinha and Cyriac Joseph said upheld his appeal.
