INDONESIA. BUSINESSMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDERING ASSOCIATES

the Lamongan district court in East Java, Indonesia, sentenced Nur Hasan to death for killing his three business associates.
Nur Hasan was found guilty of murdering his business partners --Sumiyati, M. Arifin, and Suyitno -- apparently due to for fear that they would insist he settle his debts to them totaling hundreds of millions of Rupiahs, the panel of judges chaired by Maryamah said in its verdict. Outside the court room, tens of people staged a rally urging the court to send Nur Hasan to the gallows.
