It was reported that Zhong Zubin and Tang Shangming, two Chinese men, were sentenced to death in Beihai City of southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for smuggling heroin. Zhong Zubin allegedly swallowed 1,858 grams of heroin on five occasions and then transported them from Ruili City, a place in Yunnan Province to Beihai City in Guangxi. He was arrested by police on June 9, 2002. Tang Shangming was alleged to have been Zubin's boss in the drug smuggling ring they belonged to.
