Jordan's Appeals Court commuted death sentences issued by a military court in September 2000 against Khader Abu-Hosher, and his coconspirator Osama Samar. They were convicted of a plot to attack Americans and Israelis during millennium celebrations in the kingdom. They will instead serve 20 years in prison with hard labor. The ruling, which was delivered three weeks ago was only released to the press today. The court said its decision was final.
