Kelly Lamont Rogers 31, black, was executed by lethal injection in Oklahoma State Penitentiary. He was pronounced dead at 00:07. He had been convicted of killing Karen Marie Lauffenburger, a 21 year old, white woman in 1990. He was the fourth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 23rd since the State resumed executions in 1990. He was the 27th to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 625 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
