KUWAIT: COURT UPHOLDS FILIPINA'S DEATH SENTENCE

the Kuwaiti Court of Cassation upheld the death sentence against Filipina housemaid Jakatia Pawa for killing her employer's 22-year-old daughter. Pawa was sentenced to death on April 13, 2008, by the court of First Instance, with the sentence being affirmed by the Court of Appeals in June 2009.
