Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister Dragan Djurovic said that the death sentence is soon to be abolished in Montenegro.
He said that the severest penalty is to be a 40-year prison sentence."The government committee for policy has proposed changes to the criminal justice bill, amongst which is also the abolition of the death sentence," he told the Podgorica daily Pobjeda.
Djurovic said that new criminal offences are to be included in the changes to the criminal justice bill, such as people trafficking, money laundering, hacking into computer systems and protected computer data bases, as well as corruption.
The bill was soon to be passed on to the Montenegrin Assembly, he said.
