On March 15, a military tribunal sentenced to death by hanging Mohammad Jaghameen, 35, and Ahmad Subuh, 34, who remains a fugitive, for a killing spree that left more than 10 people dead in 1998. Victims were 8 Iraqis and Egyptians workers in the luxurious villa of a prominent Iraqi businessman in an affluent Amman neighborhood, as well as a prominent Jordanian lawyer and a famous psychiatrist. The Iraqi embassy's chargé d'affaires and his Egyptian wife were among those killed in what has been described as "the dinner party massacre." The two men were also convicted of shooting to death prominent Jordanian lawyer Hanna Naddeh and his son, Suhail, and prominent psychiatrist Awni Saad, two months later in the latter's clinic.
