On November 4, Ho Chi Minh City People's Court handed down the death penalty to 3 Cambodian nationals - Chuan Oi, Seng Bun Si and Tran The Trung - and two Vietnamese nationals - Quach Kim Thuan and Nguyen Hong Minh Thanh

On November 4, Ho Chi Minh City People's Court handed down the death penalty to 3 Cambodian nationals - Chuan Oi, Seng Bun Si and Tran The Trung - and two Vietnamese nationals - Quach Kim Thuan and Nguyen Hong Minh Thanh. They were all found guilty of smuggling 800g of heroin and 3.6kg of opium from Cambodia. The Thanh Nien (Youth) newspaper said that another Vietnamese man was sentenced to life imprisonment while 7 others received prison sentences ranging from 3 to 17 years.
