ONE SENTENCED TO DEATH IN MURDER CASE

in Bangladesh, a Sirajganj court sentenced a man to death, four to life imprisonment and another to rigorous imprisonment for a year in a murder case.

in Bangladesh, a Sirajganj court sentenced a man to death, four to life imprisonment and another to rigorous imprisonment for a year in a murder case. District and Sessions judge Biplob Goshami sentenced Bellal Hossain, 28, to death. The court also fined the convicts imprisoned for life Tk 10, 000 each, in default to suffer two more years of rigorous imprisonment. According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Kader Khan, 50, with sharp weapons at the Betua High School on July 29, 2001, over a feud. The court acquitted 12 others.
