A court sentenced a man to death in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan, for murdering a shopkeeper. Three other accused were acquitted by the court. According to the prosecution, Rauf, Maqsood, Shakoor and Waqas had murdered Muhammad Azam Saroya after an argument. They had also injured Saroya’s two brothers in the scuffle. The court found Rauf guilty and freed the rest by giving them the benefit of the doubt. He was also fined Rs1 million.
