President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo instructed the Department of Foreign Affairs to appeal the case of six overseas Filipino workers who were sentenced to death in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a Palace statement said. The six, Alexander Hugo, Wilfredo Bautista, Antonio Alesa, Jarren Khalid Praxidio, George Aldana and Miguel Fernandez, Jr., were accused of robbing the lottery winnings of, and killing, another filipino, Jaime dela Cruz, in January 1996.
