for the second time, a Doha appeals court in Qatar upheld the death penalty of two Indians and a Nepali in a murder case.
In December 2008 the Supreme Court of Justice ordered the retrial due to “defects in the application of law.” In June 2008, the Appeal Court judge panel upheld the death penalties for “pimping and premeditated murder” of an unidentified Asian woman in October 2003. The case now automatically returns to the Supreme Court. The Indians are Sreedharan Moni Kandan, 32, and Unni Krishna Mahadevan, 33, the Nepali is Chandera Sheker Yadav, 45.
