Justices A.P. Lawande and Arun Choudhary found Shankar Kisanrao Khade, 55, guilty on counts of rape and murder of a minor girl. She was kidnapped, raped and then killed on July 23, 2006 by Khade at Daryapur in Amravati district. First Ad-hoc Additional Sessions Judge of Achalpur, A. Vaidya, convicted Khade on November 3, 2007, which was challenged by the accused in the High Court. The High Court bench dismissed his petition and upheld the order given by the lower court.
