School teacher Wang Furong was sentenced to death for raping five young pupils and molesting other children at a rural school in northern China's Shaanxi province. The crimes reportedly took place between the spring of 2001 and September 2002, the Huashang Daily reported. Wang was convicted of raping girls who were in their early teens, with the youngest victim being born in 1993, the paper said. "The court ruled that Wang Furong used his status as teacher to many times engage in sexual relations with the young girls, behavior that constitutes forced rape," the paper said.
