Scores of human rights activists demonstrated in the streets of the Kenyan capital Nairobi against what they called "blantant violation of human rights across the country." The demonstrators raised banners that condemned the increase of rapes, extra-judicial executions and inability of the government to offer security to Kenyans. The Kenya Human Rights Commission, a non-governmental organisation which organised the demonstration, presented a memorandum detailing rights violations to the justice ministry.
