Suspected US embassy bomber Khalfan Khamis Mohamed won his bid in the Cape High Court to secure information relating to his arrest, detention and deportation from South Africa to the US. The court ruled that all documents relating to his extradition must be handed over. If found guilty, Mohamed said he would attempt to compel President Thabo Mbeki to intervene in the case on the grounds that the death penalty has been abolished in South Africa, where he was arrested.
