The husband of Marietta Bosch, Martinus "Tennie" Woolmarans, claimed that he has been denied the opportunity to see his wife's grave. In his first interview with the local press since the execution of his wife for murder in Botswana on March 31, Wolmarans said; "I have made inquiries as to whether I could go and see my wife's grave, but I was told that it is impossible." "But, I intend to file a formal application with the prison authorities even though it would not help anything. I do not think that they will even look at it, but one has to try," he added. The Botswana Commissioner of Prisons, Joseph Orebotse said that Bosch was hanged and buried within the Gaborone Prisons because she was the property of the state. He further indicated that no one was permitted to go to the cemetery unless he was a prison officer or people authorised under the statutes governing the operation of the prisons' departments in the country.
