The Justice Department head announced the public hanging of two young men Amir Hoseyn Mashti and Ali Soltani, after the Supreme Court confirmed their death sentences

The Justice Department head announced the public hanging of two young men Amir Hoseyn Mashti and Ali Soltani, after the Supreme Court confirmed their death sentences. The two had confessed to pursuing satanic thoughts, kidnapping women and girls and creating fear and anxiety among the people in Kerman. The two young men were hanged in Kerman's Azadi Square. Eyewitnesses said each of the convicts received 90 lashes before being hanged. They agonized for 20 minutes before dying.
