the Kegalle Provincial High Court, in Sri Lanka, sentenced two persons to death over the killing of a businessman in 2004 at Kannantota, Ruwanwella. Four suspects were charged with murdering the businessman after robbing him.
Accordingly the third and fourth defendants produced by Ruwanwella Police were found guilty of the murder. Judge Menaka Weerasundara sentenced the two men, a 42-year-old and a 47-year-old from Medirigiriya, to death.
