The National Front for a Renewed Chad (FNTR), an armed opposition movement, accused the government of executing six suspected members of the opposition on 17 November. They have been flooding back into the country after a wave of racist attacks in September on black African migrant workers in neighbouring Libya. The officials "pick out people they think belong to the opposition, put them in military vehicles and drive them off to an unknown destination," the group said. It added that more than 47 Chadians had disappeared in this way.
