Three people were sentenced to death in Vietnam for drug trafficking, state media reported

Three people were sentenced to death in Vietnam for drug trafficking, state media reported.
Nguyen Ngoc Vuong, 41, and wife Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, 37, charged with organising the traffic of heroin, and Huynh Kim Ngan, 41, were condemned to the firing squad, the Tuoi Tre (Youth) daily reported.
The court in Ho Cin Minh City, former Saigon, condemned one other band member to life in jail, and two more to 17 and 20 years imprisonment.
The newspaper report said the ring had been discovered in February 2002, when Ngan was arrested whilst transporting 1.5 kgs of heroin.
