Two Tajik soldiers were sentenced to death for armed robbery. The military collegium of the Supreme Court presided over by judge Col Usmon Zarbekov found Ehson Mirmahmadovich Ismatov guilty of setting up an armed gang with the aim of committing robberies. A fellow serviceman from military unit 3974, Rajabali Jalolovich Balkhiyev, was condemned for complicity in the gang.
The military collegium found Balhkiyev and Ismatov guilty under Article 186, Article 195, Article 104 and Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.
