UK FOREIGN OFFICE MAKES DEATH PENALTY PLEA TO ANTIGUA

the UK Foreign Office is seeking assurance that the killer of a British honeymoon couple in Antigua will not face the death penalty as UK police help Antiguan officers. Ben and Catherine Mullany from south Wales were shot on the last day of their holiday in the Caribbean island. A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "On the death penalty, the UK is continuing in parallel to seek assurances from the Antiguan government that anyone found guilty will not face the death penalty."
