USA - Arizona. Wayne Prince was sentenced to death

Wayne Prince was sentenced to death for the 2nd time in Maricopa County Superior Court. Prince, 37, was convicted in 2000 of shooting to death his 13-year-old stepdaughter, Cassie Parker, 2 years earlier during an argument with the girl's mother. He was sentenced to death by a Superior Court judge. But in 2002, the U.S. Supreme Court ordered that juries and not judges determine if there are sufficient aggravating factors to sentence a murderer to death. Prince was one of about 30 Arizonans on death row whose conviction was upheld but who was granted a new trial to review his death sentence. Prince went back to court in August 2007. That trial ended with a jury unable to decide whether he deserved a life or a death sentence. The 2nd sentencing trial began in November.
