A Broward County jury has unanimously recommended a death sentence for Randy Tundidor Sr., 45, white. On April 4, 2010 , Tundidor and his son broke into the home of Joseph Morrissey where he was with his wife and his then 5-year-old son. They bound him, killed Morrissey and then set the house on fire. Morrissey's wife and son survived the tragic incident. Randy H. Tundidor, now 24, pleaded guilty to reduced charges of second-degree murder in August, and testified that he watched, drug addled, as his father repeatedly stabbed Joseph Morrissey, in the stomach and back, then slashed his throat. Broward Circuit Judge Cynthia Imperato will now consider their recommendation along with a life in prison sentence before she issues her final decision.
