Circuit Judge David Rimmer sentenced Robert Hobart, 43, white, to death. A Santa Rosa County jury recommended the death penalty on Oct. 24 (see). He shot 41-year-old Robert Hamm and 43-year-old Tracie Tolbert. Jurors had recommended the death penalty for Tolbert's slaying and a life sentence in Hamm's death. Prosecutors say Hobart killed the couple in Sept. 2010 to steal their Roxicodone, which is a prescription painkiller.
