USA - Florida. Judge Donald Jacobson sentenced Leon Davis, 34, black, to death

Polk County Circuit Judge Donald Jacobson sentenced Leon Davis, 34, black, to death. On Sept. 10 Davis has waived his right to a jury trial, which means he received a bench trial. Authorities say Davis fatally shot 33-year-old Pravinkumar Patel and 51-year-old Dashrath Patel during a gas station robbery on Dec. 7, 2007. Davis was previously sentenced to death (see April 29, 2011) for killing 2 women - 26-year-old Yvonne Bustamante and 23-year-old Juanita Luciano - during the robbery of an insurance company on Dec. 13, 2007, about a week after the fatal gas station robbery.
