USA - Georgia. House approves sentencing changes

1 MIN READ
The House unanimously approved a measure that would give prosecutors more leeway to seek sentences of life in prison without parole. It will go to Gov. Sonny Perdue's desk after the chambers hash out minor differences. It would change current law, which requires prosecutors to try to get the death penalty before they can seek life without parole for convicted murderers.
