Willam Kitchens, 37, white, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of assaulting, raping and murdering Patricia Leann Webb, a 25 year old, white woman, on 17th May 1986. He was the 14th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 213 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 33rd to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 631 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
