A Bangladeshi court ordered Kamal Pasha to be hanged for gunning down two brothers. Kamal Pasha was convicted of killing the two brothers, Mohammed Ali Ribel and Asfaque Hossain Jewel, in broad daylight in May 2000 in the capital Dhaka, the official BSS news agency said without listing the motive for the slaying. Judge Sirajul Islam Khan acquitted a second man who allegedly drove Pasha's get-away car, citing a lack of evidence.
